First Book Blog Terms of Use
The following are general policies and guidelines that apply to usage of the First Book Blog. This is not a legally binding document. Any usage of the First Book Blog (reading, posting, linking, etc…) constitutes acceptance of these terms.
I. Comments
First Book reserves the right to remove a comment for any reason. Since our goal is to promote a productive and open dialogue, those comments that we deem do not contribute to that dialogue - because they are abusive, offensive, off-topic, overly lengthy, unproductive, or any number of other reasons - will be removed from the site at First Book’s discretion.
First Book will not tolerate language that is racist, profane, abusive, or negatively directed at an author/commenter that uses the blog. Such language will result in immediate removal of the comment and a permanent ban on any future comments from the offender.

II. Liability
The comments made on First Book Blog solely express the opinion of the comment author. First Book does not endorse and is not responsible for material posted in the comments section. First Book is under no legal obligation to monitor and censor comments left by third parties.
First Book is not liable for any injury inflicted on users of the First Book Blog. By reading the content on this site, the reader agrees not to hold First Book responsible for any damage incurred through site usage.
First Book does not endorse any method of literacy education, curriculum development, or similar topics. First Book is simply an organization that gives books to kids, without alliance to any particular belief in how to teach kids to read. The opinions expressed on this site related to literacy, educational techniques, curriculum, etc… do not represent the views of First Book.
