Teachers and program leaders! Do you already have copies of this year’s Read for the Record book for your kids?

Order books for Read for the Record by 9/21 through First Book to get your books in timeThe nation will celebrate the power of reading across the country on Oct. 4, through Jumpstart’s annual Read for the Record ®, presented in partnership with the Pearson Foundation. Millions of people will be reading Ladybug and the Bug Girl Squad, by David Soman and Jacky Davis, in an effort to prepare every child to succeed.

First Book is ready. We’ve got plenty of copies of Ladybug and the Bug Girl Squad available at the First Book Marketplace. Be sure to order now, since all orders will need to be placed by Friday, Sept. 21 to guarantee that you’ll receive your books in time to participate!

Last year, 2.2 million people took part in Read for the Record and First Book was able to be a part of it, providing over 25,000 copies of Llama Llama Red Pajama, last year’s Read for the Record title. Our friends at Jumpstart hope this year will be even bigger, bringing even more awareness to childhood education.
