What Book Got Scarlett Johansson Hooked?

August 13th, 2008 by Diane N. · No Comments · Books & Reading

Sure, she’s an acclaimed actress and international movie star, but what we really want to know is what came before all that: what kept Scarlett Johansson up all night reading under the covers?

“One of the first books that ignited my passion for reading was The Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl. My sister read it to me when I was 8 years old. Every night she would read me a new chapter. I loved it so much that I made her start all over again right after we completed it!”

Fellow fox lovers can look forward to the animated movie.  It’s set to release in November 2009, is voiced by (get ready) George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Anjelica Huston – and directed by The Fantastic Mr. Wes Anderson.

Drool. I can’t wait.

Join Scarlett and tell us what book got YOU hooked! Vote today and get your favorite children’s book on First Book’s Top 50 List, to be published in late September. Voting closes September 15.
