First Book University held its latest Seminar at the University of Pittsburgh thanks to our partners at Jumpstart Pittsburgh. Members representing seven Advisory Boards from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia gathered to exchange ideas and learn techniques on recruiting, board structure, and fundraising.

The Book Granting Party – cupcakes and party hats included – was a highlight of the Seminar as Board members worked in small groups to practice granting out books. Board members returned to their communities with renewed energy and focus to provide more books to more children!
