This week, First Book and KN Karen Neuburger shared bedtime stories, reading tips and cozy mouse print pajamas with children in need in Northern Virginia.

The children attended a special event hosted at the Nordstrom store in McLean, Virginia as part of the Books at Bedtime campaign, which highlights the importance of families reading together at bedtime.

Cokie Roberts, a friend of First Book, was on hand to read some of her favorite stories from Mouse Cookies & More: A Treasury by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. During the reading, Cokie shared how important books had been in her own life and encouraged parents to read with their children, especially at bedtime.

Great fun was had by all as the event concluded with hot chocolate, milk, cookies and other yummy treats and the opportunity to take a holiday photo with Mouse, the lovable character from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
