Celebrate Black History Month with the First Book Marketplace

Martin Luther King, Jr. bookThis week the First Book Marketplace launched a special promotion in celebration of black history month in February: the first 20 programs serving children from low-income families that spend $1,000 on Marketplace books will also receive a Borders/Waldenbooks giftcard for an additional $500 to spend on books for they children they serve.

The First Book Marketplace is a web-based subsidiary of First Book that sells high quality children’s books in carton quantities at deeply discounted prices to community programs serving children from low-income families. This month, the Marketplace is offering award-winning titles for black history month, educational products from Encyclopaedia Britannica, and a wide variety of other books for babies through young adults. All books are available at up to 85% off retail prices for community organizations serving children from low-income families.
