First Book recently unveiled its first-ever First Book Marketplace Special Edition. This award-winning book, entitled Playing Loteria/El juego de Loteria, is published by Luna Rising/Rising Moon. A perfect book for many of the programs First Book serves, the bilingual Playing Loteria tells the story of a little boy who visits his grandmother in Mexico. With the help of a traditional Mexican game, the boy learns to speak Spanish and discovers how special family bonds can be. Together he and his abuela discover a world of language and come to realize that loved ones truly do have special ways of understanding each other.
This Spanish/English bilingual title is available in softcover exclusively on the First Book Marketplace. While the hardcover version of Playing Loteria retails for $15.95, Marketplace edition are available for just $2.50 per book to programs serving children from low-income families.
This will be just the first of many First Book Marketplace Special Editions. Are there other books — perhaps other books that have never before been released in softcover — that you would like to share with the children you serve?

I would like to order 300 paperback copies of Playing Loteria/El juego de Loteria. Is it still possible?

We are planning a bilingual family literacy night for the families of our Title I school and we would like to use Playing Lotería as our text. We would like to order at least 20 copies and would love to have copies for $2.50 each in order to stay within our budget. What are the steps required in order to obtain these copies? Please let us know, and thank you for your time!
