Wondering where all the books go? Periodically we will profile one of the many organizations that receive books from First Book. We work with community programs that serve children from low-income families.

First Book Group Name: C.U.D.D.L.E.S. (Comprehensive Unique Developmental and Diverse Learning Enrichment Systems)

Children Served Annually: 200, ages 6 week to 12 years

Description: C.U.D.D.L.E.S. provides academic and rehabilitation to children with educational, physical, social and emotional handicaps from 6 weeks old to 12 years old. C.U.D.D.L.E.S. is a diverse educational setting with special support services for children with and without disabilities.

How long has you program been a First Book recipient group? This is our first year receiving books.

How many books have you received from First Book? About 500 books.

How do you use First Book books? To give to the children to add to or begin their libraries. Also, we use the books to increase the children’s reading skills.
